Theisen’s offers a $2.50/hr shift premium for Saturday and Sunday for all store locations !!STORE MAINTENANCE ASSOCIATE Employment Type: Full Time or Part TimeSupervisor: Store ManagerJob DescriptionResponsible for performing necessary maintenance duties in an effort to help preserve condition of the store. Duties will be varied and will include items such as stripping and polishing floors, painting, generic electrical, cleaning restrooms, plowing and shoveling snow. In addition to maintenance duties, they may make deliveries, drop-offs and pick-ups for store. Qualifications High School diploma, GED, or trade school preferred3-12 months of general maintenance experience preferredCompletion of Lock Out/Tag Out OSHA Certification within 3 months of beginning employmentValid driver’s License with a clean driving record Job Duties Maintain generic electrical duties safely and appropriatelyShoveling and salt driveways and parking lots and keep all areas safe for customer and associate trafficRefill pop machine and cooler, and maintain a complete inventory checklist for the machineClean and maintain supplies and mechanical functionality of the restroomsFamiliarize, interpret and incorporate safety requirements, environmental, Hazmat and OSHA rules and regulations throughout the storeLoad and unload items as necessary for customers or store truck shipmentsOther duties as request by management may include but are not limited to painting, general cleaning as needed, sweeping walks, cutting grass, performing other incidental seasonal tasks, making minor maintenance repairs such as repair minor damage in walls (forklift damage, etc.), simple plumbing issues (backed up toilets, etc.), applying caulk in bathroom, replacing broken floor tiles, assisting in repairing broken displays or shelving, and product assembly. Occasional physical demands include lifting up to and over 50 lbs., climbing stairs, squatting, and firmly grasping. The associate is required to talk and hear. Must be able to work required shifts including nights and weekends, and maintain attendance standards. Specific vision abilities required by this job include vision adequate for the incumbent to perform the responsibilities and functions of the job efficiently. The associate must have the manual dexterity to manually operate and use a computer/cash register and/or RF. Work Environment and Working ConditionsWork will normally be performed inside of the store facility; however, some work may occasionally be performed outside in conditions ranging from cold below 32 degrees to heat above 100 degrees. The work environment is usually fast paced with regular deadlines and sales expectations. Extreme noise and vibrations may occasionally be experienced. Associates may be subjected to hazards such as burns, cuts, electrical, explosive, and mechanical. Due to the nature of the work, associates may be exposed atmospheric conditions such as dust fumes, odors, and poor ventilation.
