As part of Hapag-Lloyds IT Team, you work in a team of 10 colleagues located in Hamburg and Gdansk. The focus of the team is SAP Finance and Accounting. Together with the colleagues of the other SAP teams, you will be maintaining and developing the Hapag-Lloyd SAP system. You will work together with business colleagues and the IT in Hamburg, Gdansk, Chennai and around the globe. The SAP Teams in Hamburg and Gdansk are currently considerably ramping up based on our mission to migrate from SAP ECC 6.8 system to SAP S/4HANA soon. Hapag-Lloyd uses SAP mainly for Finance, Treasury, Controlling and Materials Management.Your responsibilities:With your process and technical SAP TAX and Financial know-how, you will support or manage developments in our S/4Hana and SAP ECC system with the colleagues in Hamburg, Gdansk and ChennaiIn close cooperation with the tax, finance and accounting departments in Hamburg and around the globe you will be responsible for the creation and implementation of new functions, for process consulting as well as for the maintenance and support of the finance and accounting processes in SAP together with the teamYour responsibilities in taxes are:Tax master data management (Tax Codes, Tax Accounts, Tax Ledger, SAP-Fiori for Tax, etc.)Tax determination configuration - indirect/ direct Tax (VAT, GST, WHT, etc.)Tax reporting/ auditingTax compliance managementTax planning and analysis (Tax SAP Analytics, Advance Compliance Reporting, etc.)In the SAP S/4Hana project, you are responsible for the development and implementation of the future SAP accounting and finance solution of Hapag-LloydWith your creative ideas, you will act as an innovator within the team and drive new processes forward operationally, as well as use and implement new technologiesWorking together with colleagues from other teams and thinking out of the box is part of your daily business Your profile:What you'll need to succeed 3+ years’ experience in customizing and working in SAP FI especially TaxIn addition, you have a sound understanding of business processes, especially in the areas of Tax, Finance and Accounting and adjacent areas like Payments, Treasury, Controlling and ProcurementYou have relevant experience in the development, customization and implementation of complex SAP landscapes and in the optimization of business and IT processesWith focus on tax topics, following is needed:Withholding TaxVATTax-reporting (like SAF-T standard audit tax file for countries like Portugal, Angola, Spain, Poland, etc)Closing activities and reportingExperience in Pillar2 reporting and or Performance and Profitability Management (PaPM) is an advantageA collaborative and empathic mindset to enable our business colleagues through our solutionsExperience in agile working methods, as in Scrum or experience as a Product Manager is an advantageStrong communication skills in an international environment paired with good command of written and spoken English German language expectations: We expect all international candidates to be willing to learn at least the basics of the German language in case they are accepted for the position.
