Overview The Senior Architect position is an exciting opportunity for the successful candidate to join the PM Group team out of the quickly growing Frankfurt team. This role entails working directly with PM Group’s clients and internal teams on complex life sciences projects – project scale will vary. The Senior Project Architect will lead design and coordination processes for complex manufacturing and production facilities. This will encompass ownership and management of architectural deliverables for assigned projects and in compliance with PM Group standards. Responsibilities Full design services: Execute site master planning, concept, schematic, and design development phases of projects. Project Delivery: Meet project budget, schedule, scope, quality standards and efficiencies while identifying and ensuring the tracking and documentation of project changes Lead project team through the entire design life cycle on multiple projects – conception to completion Manage critical path process and lead project team through all technical and production aspects from initial stages of pre-design through to project completion including Construction Administration Ensure all members of the project team are in compliance with project work plans and deadlines - contribute to the bottom line responsibility for financial and technical success of projectTeam Player: Ability to work cohesively with clients, Project Managers and multi discipline engineering teams to successfully and effectively execute projects Manage and coordinate workload of team and project consultants, provide leadership of team activities and communicate client objectives to team members Customer Focus: Ability to establish, maintain, and grow successful client relationships Prepare and present design drawings and assist in presentations both internally and externally (to clients and to authorities having jurisdiction) When needed serve as prime point of contact between client and PM Group; coordinate, lead, and attend project meetings as required Design: Prepare design and contract drawings using advanced design software tools Monitor the technical quality of projects Provide overview and be a resource for technical issues to teams and colleagues Consult with local authorities and consultants regarding project design – ensure that all statutory requirements are met Assisting in the bid process for new projects Special projects as needed Qualifications Professional Degree in Architecture Registered Architect (RA) Fluent German and English Significant experience with large-scale life science projects 10+ Years of relevant professional experience Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a multi-disciplinary environment Proactive architect with experience in all stages of project delivery (schematic design, design development and construction) Experience in laboratory programming and design requirements Understanding work flow and documentation for BIM (Revit) High degree of proficiency, speed and diligence in Revit Ability to work with varying software programs including, but not limited to, Revit, SketchUp, Photoshop and Microsoft Office Good design and presentation graphic skills Understanding of local permitting regulations, building codes, zoning ordinances, accessibility and GMP regulatory requirements Experience mentoring a team of design professionals, including monitoring work performance and driving professional development Knowledge of sustainability, integrated design and LEED guidelines Advanced Knowledge of architectural building systems Experience generating work plans, project budgets and scopes Experience generating and managing schedules Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment and be able to work under tight deadlines, while maintaining high quality standards
