This is an exciting opportunity to help build and operate a state-of-the-art manufacturing site from the ground up. Main purpose and objectives of this position:The Senior Director of Finance, Procurement, and Competitive Continuous Improvement (CCI) will be a member of the Alzey Lead Team and have operational and functional responsibility for a local team across Finance, Procurement, and CCI. The Senior Director will be responsible for staffing, onboarding, and developing each individual role across this team. The Senior Director will execute all financial processes across the site, including planning, forecasting, and actual reporting activities. In addition, the Senior Director will oversee and implement the procurement agenda for the site, including sourcing and managing all suppliers required for a new site. The Senior Director will also execute Lean across the site and establish a Lean mindset/culture through the CCI team’s cross-functional interactions.Key responsibilities for this position include:Staff, lead, develop, and retain a team of talented and diverse individuals that can deliver on site and team objectives.Maintain a safe working environment and support Health, Safety & Environmental corporate and site goals.Provide financial/business perspectives on a broad range of issues as a member of the Alzey Lead Team.Develop and implement local financial, procurement, and CCI processes that are aligned and integrated with global processes.Assure timely and accurate accounting of site activity and adherence to corporate policies and practices, including the maintenance of financial controls and associated documentation.Facilitate the development, validation, and review of the site’s financial plans, forecasts, and actual performance.Procure materials through a team of procurement professionals to ensure reliable supply of all required materials while balancing costs and working capital investments.Identify cost savings opportunities through the integration of site procurement strategies with those of the Germany Affiliate.Communicate and align proactively with the Germany Affiliate Finance and Tax teams on matters related to accounting, tax, and capital spend that could impact the local legal entity.Lead Lean rollout, operational design, and integration across the site.How do you convince us? Minimum bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field.Minimum seven years of experience in finance, accounting, or a related function.Team leadership and people management experience with prior experience hiring, training, and accomplishing business objectives through teams.Fluent in English and German.Onsite attendance is expected.Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and cross-functionally.Demonstrated leadership, agility, and adaptability to lead in a complex, dynamic, and evolving environment.Exemplification of high integrity, fiscal responsibility, and business ownership.Demonstrated ability to recognize opportunities, strongly influence the setting of direction and exceed expectations on deliverables.Prior experience with controllership, product costing, and data stewardshipTechnical proficiency with MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and SAP.What can you look forward to?
